Henrik Brabrand

From corporate boardrooms to highly discreet introductions, Henrik Brabrand has built a career helping some of the world’s most successful men and women find meaningful jobs and relationships. In this interview-style feature, Henrik shares how he built the niche, trust-driven matchmaking business Dino Dotti Associates, and why privacy, intention, and timing matter more than looks or status.

When Henrik Brabrand talks about his work, he talks about how faith and learning plays a key role in matchmaking. Our clients place their faith in us to help them find a suitable match that can help them grow as human beings while staying on a path of continued learning. In fact, Dino means "faith" in Arabic and Dotti means "learning" in Italian - hence the name.

Based in Scandinavia but working globally with representations in London and New York, Henrik runs a bespoke matchmaking practice for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, founders, investors, and public figures. His annual retainers can reach six figures, and his clients include people who prefer not to exist on dating apps—or in public conversations at all. “At the level my clients operate, access isn’t the problem,” Henrik explains. “trust, discretion and sound judgment is.” Creating one of the top matchmaking agencies in Scandinavia was not achieved overnight. "It took years to fine-tune and grow the company, to then finally become one of the best matchmaking agencies in the region" says Henrik.

Being the filter, not the funnel

Henrik’s role is deliberately selective. While many of his clients could meet attractive partners anywhere, he and his team act as trusted intermediaries, asking the questions that matter long after first impressions fade.

“Chemistry is easy,” he says. “Character isn’t. I’m there to protect my clients’ time, energy, and emotional bandwidth.” He works primarily with men and women who are serious about long-term partnership, not casual dating. Engagements typically last one to three years, after which Henrik often recommends a pause.

“Dating fatigue is real,” he notes. “Sometimes stepping back is the most productive move you can make.”

A non-linear path to matchmaking

Before launching Dino Dotti Associates, Henrik spent years working as a top-level headhunter, collaborating with well-known personalities and top executives. What has never changed, though, is his instinct for connecting people. “I’ve always been the person introducing the right people to each other, professionally, socially, personally. At some point, I realised that connection itself could be the business.” So, how did it all start? "Well, the inspiration for creating Dino Dotti Associates originates several years back in time when a noble gentlemen and barrister from the UK reached out to my old executive search firm. He had been tasked by his client, a distinguished lady from the British aristocracy, to find a successful Scandinavian business man and art connoisseur who could be a suitable candidate as her future life partner." It was then it dawned on Henrik how his connecting skills and top-tier headhunting background could be the difference-maker in potentially helping highly exposed and high-net-worth individuals in finding a suitable partner. A few years later, Henrik eventually founded Dino Dotti Associates, build on a vetted network and client base through referrals, personal introductions, and an intentionally curated database.

Why dating apps don’t work for his clients

Most of Henrik’s clients are acutely aware of the risks of visibility. “When your name alone attracts attention, anonymity becomes a form of safety,” he explains. “Apps don’t offer that.” Some clients own major companies or are sought after celebrities. Others appear regularly on global streaming platforms. For them, even a screenshot can become a liability. Henrik’s average client is in their early 40s, though his roster spans a wide range, including younger tech and crypto investors who value discretion as much as seasoned business tycoons and even mature aristocrats.

Elite matchmaking services to the premium segment are expanding because wealthy clients want privacy, exclusivity, and meaningful connections, unlike mass-market dating apps. They demand rigorous vetting, background checks, and in-depth personality assessments that enhance compatibility and protect confidentiality. Working with ambassadors

Henrik works closely with a small team of scouts - or ambassadors as he likes to call it, often from executive or social networking backgrounds, who understand how to identify presence, authenticity, and compatibility, not just aesthetics. Henrik's team work across continents and personally coordinate first introductions, selecting locations that balance comfort, privacy, and neutrality. Full identities are never shared upfront. “The first meeting should feel safe and respectful, for everyone.” After that, clients take the lead.

Vetting on both sides

Every client meets Henrik or one of his team leads personally before being accepted, and referrals are mandatory. Prospective candidates complete an in-depth profile where we fore instance go deep into values, availability, and emotional readiness.” Prospective clients we typically meet up with in-person and together build their profile and uncover their preferences. He is clear with both clients and potential candidates/matches: this is about partnership, not optics. “I’m not here to find accessories,” he says. “I’m here to find alignment.” Candidates introduced through Henrik’s network are equally vetted. Ambiguity or opportunism is a red flag. “If someone can’t articulate what they want, it's a red flag.

A deliberately small business

Henrik limits himself to seven to ten clients at a time, offering a finite number of carefully spaced introductions. “Abundance kills clarity,” he says. “Too many options hurt everyone involved.”

Why he never gave up

When Henrik first established Dino Dotti Associates, many people questioned the move. The concept grew out of his top-tier executive search company, Albright Partners Ltd., and progress was slow at first, and meaningful traction didn't come instantly. “But belief compounds,” he says. “If you’re not deeply committed to the outcome, you won’t last long enough to succeed.” Today, he remains energised by the work. “Helping two people genuinely find each other gets me exited every time,” Henrik says. “Status fades. Love doesn’t.”
